Individual Counseling
The school counselor meets with the student in a one to one capacity when the student requests a meeting or when teachers, administrators or parents request that the counselor see the student.
Small Group Counseling
Small groups are formed when a common need surfaces for several students at a time. Participating in a small group can help students relate with others who have experienced similar challenges.
Classroom Guidance
The school counselor collaborates with administrators and teachers to teach guidance lessons throughout the year in the classroom.

All information disclosed to the counselor will be regarded as confidential and privileged except for those situations which require disclosure by State and Federal law. Situations that may require reporting regardless of student, parent or guardian permission include: possible abuse or neglect, possible danger to self or others and a court order.

Ohio Means Jobs K-12 is a no-cost, online career development tool that enables teachers, parents, counselors and students to explore career interests, research career options and evaluate education and training programs.
Career Connections: Guide for Parents
8th Grade Career Unit
Mrs. Large will lead a unit for 8th graders to start thinking about their career choices. Through the activities in this unit students start to compile information needed to help them to make informed career decisions. Students work with Ohio Means Jobs K-12 to complete the Career Cluster Inventory and research careers. The U-Can counselor will meet with each 8th grade student individually to discuss future career goals. The students will also participate in Reality Store in the spring. Reality Store gives students an important glimpse of the future; especially the financial balance and challenges they will face as adults.
